About GodKingKen
GodKingKen was born Kendrick Lamar Ward, to Timmie Johnson & LaTrice Ward. His parents split when he was a toddler. So he grew up with his grandparents on the poor west side of Chicago after dealing with the absence of his father and abuse from his mother. Since he didn’t have a childhood, he used music as an escape from reality. He says that “when I record, I paint my imagination on canvas.
