Artifice is a band from Denpasar, Bali-Indonesia which carries the Progressive Metalcore genre, formed on March 8 2013 using the name Damascus at first. However, in 2015 Damascus changed its name to Artifice due to the controversial name Damascus. In the English vocabulary, Artifice means intelligence, which includes the word ART, namely art. So, it can be concluded that music is an art and the five of us have intelligence which can be interpreted as our respective skills to be united into a band, that is the meaning of Artifice for us philosophically.
