About Static Embers
Born in the solitude of a collective nightmare, Ryan Vincent started Static Embers during the Covid-19 lockdown in NYC. Collaborating online with Jen Hitchings of Never, the project became both an escape and an outlet invoking a mix of sonic mood swings. Nestled in the clutches of Dark Wave, their sound is at times haunting like the synth sounds of Lebanon Hanover and The KVB, noisey like the raucous guitars of A Place to Bury Strangers and occasionally wryly Pop like the vocal melodies of Broncho.
