About Xarmolypi
Xarmolypi, the stage name of indie electronic artist Cole Bateman, is a stylization of the Greek word “charmolypi”, meaning "joy-making sorrow". Drawing on various genres including electronica, trip hop, and psychedelia, Xarmolypi expresses this sentiment by exploring a wide variety of textures and moods within and across his music. Liquid Mirrors EP, released in April 2020, leaned heavily on hip hop and dream pop influences.
