Dakim Saadiq (who releases music under his first name, as well as just Dak) is an experimental beatmaker from Detroit by way of Los Angeles. The reclusive artist was one of the first signings to Matthewdavid’s Leaving Records, and his fractured, lo-fi sample constructions have earned praise from L.A. beat scene regulars such as Flying Lotus and Ras G.
