About Phil Swanson
I grew up all over northern/central New Jersey. My father, a Methodist pastor and my mom a school teacher, music was always present in our household. So naturally, church music played a pretty prominent role early on. I can remember thumbing through the church hymnal while sitting through my dad's sermons at a very young age to pass the time. The Christmas hymns were always my favorites. Piano lessons segued into trumpet lessons & youth choir, but it wasn't until early high school that I fell in love with the guitar.
