About Tavinho Moura
Tavinho Moura is an urban middle-class musician who, taken by the magic of the "caipira" (hillbilly) culture, dedicated himself to that music. In his case, along with research and adaptations of folklore, like in "Cálix Bento" and "Peixinhos do Mar," the latter with Fernando Brant (both recorded by Milton Nascimento), that also meant the systematic study of the performance of the viola, having become an accomplished solo instrumentalist, as evidenced in Caboclo D'Água and Diadorado.
