About Franz Bauer-Theussl
This Austrian conductor and pianist was renowned as the foremost ambassador of Viennese music. From 1943 to 1949, he studied at the Vienna Academy of Music excelling in the state piano examinations and winning international prizes in Geneva amd Llangollen. He studied conducting with Clemens Krauss and, as an assistant conductor, toured with the Academy Chamber Choir throughout Europe. He became conductor at the Municipal Theater at Baden bei Wien.
