About Marta Almajano
Marta Almajano, born in Zaragoza, Spain, in 1965, is a Spanish soprano known for her work in early music. She was a member of the ensemble Al Ayre Español from its founding in 1987 until 2004, participating in the recovery of baroque zarzuelas such as Tetis y Peleo, Acis y Galatea, and Viento es la dicha de Amor. Her individual recitals include Las mujeres y cuerdas, ¡Ay, dulce pena!, Per un bacio, and Del Amor... (2003).
