About Jiří Suchý
Jiri Suchy, born Jiří Suchý on October 1st, 1931 in Plzeň, Czechoslovakia, was a singer known for his contributions to Middle of the Road (MOR) and Pop music. In 1958, he co-founded the Théâtre sur la Balustrade and later, in 1959, founded the Semafor Theatre with Ferdinand Havlík and Jiří Šlitr. From 1957 to 1969, Suchy formed a duo with Šlitr, authoring over 300 songs that influenced Czech music and theatre during the 1960s.
