About Celinn
Celinn began creating songs in the 1990s, with a piano as her winged dragon. She developed an intimate and dreamlike musical universe, nurtured by Erik Satie, Kate Bush, film scores, and tales and legends. Her voice has a unique presence - a tone both soft and powerful - shaped by her travels and the long, rigorous study of Indian Dhrupad singing, one of the oldest forms of Indian classical music. A student and teacher in the lineage of Ustad Zia Fariduddin Dagar, Celinn holds a diploma in Dhrupad vocal and was awarded at the Varanasi Festival. She draws inspiration, wonder, and sensitivity...
