About Ginamaya
Ginamaya grew up listening to the radio stations of her father’s 1968 Catalina convertible blaring out psychedelic rock, soul, blues, r & b, and diva pop. After a creative hiatus through late adolescence, Ginamaya rediscovered her joy in creating music, getting permission from her landlord to hang a mattress in the building's basement for a simple home recording set-up. She began producing her own music, stacking and arranging samples and multiple layers of vocal harmonies.
