About Wellspring
Molly Hartwell (Santa Cruz, CA) and Laura Boswell (State College, PA) both moved to Asheville, NC in 2018 and met early the following year at an International Women’s Day songwriter showcase that Laura was performing at. Both accomplished singers, songwriters, and performers in their own right, they quickly discovered a mutual love of folk music and duo-centric, harmony-driven songs. They recorded their first album throughout 2021 & 2022 with Asheville-based sound engineer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Daniel Shearin (River Whyless).
