About Nicholas Baskerville
Since early childhood I have been enchanted by music and stories. Growing up in London and the English Midlands, I studied musical composition with Andrew Downes at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, and literature at the University of London. Having written music for theatre, bands, and a little for television, I spent many years teaching literature in London and in France, where I now live. And then, during the pandemic in 2020, I reconnected with music, writing piano pieces that I see as poems or stories without words.
