About Los Yerberos
Los Yerberos is a band from Mexico City formed in 1992. Their sound is primarily influenced by Reggae music, although they also mingle with New Wave, Latin music and World Beat. Shortly after being formed, the band recruited musicians from Jamaica, Haiti and Martinique, thus becoming a multicultural act. Their first album Los Yerberos (1993), solely launched in old-school cassette format, led the band to sign a recording contract with BMG. In 1995, Los Yerberos launched their most revered record to date: A Filo de Machete, with the classics La Sal, El Polecía, Skalofríos and El Laberinto....
