About Dia Dulcé
New York City native, Dia Dulcé, grew up listening to artists who embody female empowerment. Influenced by Missy Elliott, Destiny’s Child and Lauryn Hill, she says, “I definitely make songs for women." Born Diandra and nicknamed Dia by friends, the singer-songwriter added “Dulcé” to her moniker, which serves as a reminder to never give up – your sweet day awaits. Dia studied communications at Howard University. Soon she began taking her craft seriously and left Howard to intern at RCA Records/SONY Music.
